Thanks Mike for addressing the parks in Henderson county area. As an active member of this community I as well as many others are needing answers to why the fastest growing sport in America, pickleball , was not included in the new Berkeley Park Sports Complex. I understand that there is a donation portal on the county web site to help build the complex which most of us knew nothing about , that , if asked Bruce Gilliam should comment on. We all know pickleball and tennis hens rub horns on court intuition of lines . But WHY did NO courts for pickleball make it to the complex ??? Next I hear that Patton Park is going to be demolished and rebuilt some time in our near future. We just got pickleball courts built last fall, after almost 3 years of watching funds ( 250k ) sit waiting to get them built. It just seams that now one is in touch with what is needed in our community , Just the money donations made by the elite crowd . Once again no courts for pickleball.
